swim

took a well rested weekend off and helped a buddy with PPP ( pole pedal paddle) which is a mutli sport race that starts a the top of a skihill and ends with a paddle witha bike and run inbetween. then swam about 1 hour today, decided to just swim without stopping and go for the flow and endurance so no speed and no counting laps just got in the groove. That really helped me a bunch

BACK~~~~!!!!!!

I am back at 100% and doing great. I must say my fears about the swim have diminished. I got some killer tips from my sister in law this last weekend when she gave me a lesson ( former NCAA swimmer). I had an endurance swim for 2000 meters that went really well. I think I really have something clicked. This week my goal is to get on the wetsuit and get out in some open water. I do not want race day to be the first or second time swimming in the suit.

FEELING GREAT!!!!!!!!

and I got some saddle bags for my moto so easier to pack the swim goggles now to the pool.

down for the count

I have been on my back in bed for the last 4 days. starting to come out of it...but man it sucks to be sick. a general FLU I guess. I went to bed Friday at 5pm and woke up at noon the next day..this from a guy who does not sleep much......spent the weekend watching Bruce Lee movies hoping it would give me strength. I hope that I can workout in the next day or two.

back on the horse

I have been a little under the weather ( Isis and Jennelle were sick for about three days). did a 900 yard swim test on Tuesday and came back with really sore throat. took yesterday off all together. so.....I am working from home today so plan on getting a swim in later this morning and then do a ride about 4 on the way to picking up Jennelle at school. So should get a decent workout day in. This weekend have long swim/run planned and the mountain bike ride planned on Sunday. Weather has been A+ here for the last few weeks so that is good

54

I cannot really fathom that it is only 54 days until my Half ironman!!! Time to really focus. I need to start a list:

1. get wetsuit in the water and do some open water swimming
2. get some longer bike rides in.
3. pray for sunshine....the bike course is still under snow
4. swim some more
5. swim some more
